What’s Going On?
Happy Monday, everyone! I’m quite thankful for some much-needed rain.
Today, in addition to giving you an update on our happenings for the next couple weeks, I want to talk about the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) and the role that committee plays in our community.
The purpose of our ARC committee is to preserve a consistent and attractive design for the community and monitor maintenance of individual properties in order to protect and promote the interests of our community while serving the needs of its members.
Speaking for myself, I wanted to move into a gated community with an association because I didn’t want neighbors who were permitted to let their grass grow to three feet high or who were permitted to paint their house purple. I wanted standards and consistency; I’m guessing this is important to many of you as well.
Right now for a variety of reasons, we have an urgent need for volunteers to join our ARC committee. As a member of the committee, you would be responsible to:
Review the existing community rules and restrictions, update and clarify them where necessary, and provide the suggested updates to the Board of Directors for approval and incorporation into the official Community Rules and Restrictions document for Caribbean Village.
Review all new ARC applications submitted by home owners and provide to the Board of Directors a knowledgeable recommendation regarding the suitability or non-compliance of each new ARC application.
Please email me at vicepresident@cvcommunity.us if you have any interest in being on our ARC committee.
Where else can you get involved and meet some fun people? The following are all the happenings occurring at the club house in the next two weeks:
Monday, February 24 at 5pm - Finance committee meeting
Thursday, February 27 at 6pm - Mahjong
Friday, February 28 at 5:30pm - Happy Hour
Thursday, March 6 at 6pm - Mahjong
I hope to see you at one or more of these upcoming happenings!
