Caribbean Village Nominations Committee

Purpose

The Caribbean Village Nominations Committee is established to assist the Board of Directors by identifying, recruiting, and encouraging Association members to become actively involved in the governance and operation of the community through volunteer service.

The Committee's primary responsibility is to seek out qualified and interested members to serve on Association committees, focus groups, and other Board-authorized volunteer initiatives. The Committee shall also identify and encourage qualified members to consider serving as candidates for election to the Board of Directors.

In carrying out its responsibilities, the Committee may communicate with residents, promote volunteer opportunities, maintain a list of prospective volunteers, assess members' interests, experience, and qualifications, and recommend individuals for appointment or consideration by the Board. The Committee shall strive to develop a broad and diverse pool of volunteers that reflects the interests and talents of the community while fostering member participation and leadership development.

The Committee shall periodically report its activities and recommendations to the Board of Directors. Recommendations for committee and focus group appointments shall be advisory, with any approval-required committee appointments remaining subject to Board approval. Board of Director candidates shall be nominated in accordance with the Association's governing documents and applicable Florida law.

Membership

The Nominations Committee shall consist of volunteer members of the Association. The Board may designate one Director to serve as the Board liaison.

Authority

The Nominations Committee serves solely in an advisory and recruitment capacity. It has no authority to appoint committee members, select Board candidates, establish Association policy, or act on behalf of the Board of Directors. All appointments and official actions remain the responsibility of the Board of Directors or the membership, as required by the Association's governing documents and applicable Florida law.
