What’s Going On?

Happy Tuesday, everyone! We took a long weekend trip to Cedar Key, FL and just got home yesterday. If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend going! Cedar Key is a quiet, quaint fishing town on the Gulf just three hours north of us. We can’t wait to go back!

We’ve got LOTS going on in our community over the next few weeks!

• Thursday, October 16 at 11am - Daytime Book Club

• Thursday, October 16 at 6pm - would normally have Mahjong but with folks traveling and preparation for the rummage sale on Saturday, I believe this is cancelled.

• Saturday, October 18 at 9am - Rummage Sale. Our community gates will be open from (approximately) 8:30am - 1pm. The sale is scheduled from 9am - 1pm.  

  If you have saved your treasured donations, you can bring them to the clubhouse on Thursday, October 16 between 9am and 5pm. If you need them picked up (you are unable to transport yourselves), please contact Carolyn Swenson by email: Carswe1962@gmail.com Carolyn will give you a time that she will come by on Thursday to pick up your items. If you can deliver them yourself, please do so. 

  Please be mindful of added traffic on Saturday, especially folks on Billfish.  NO PARKING signs will be posted on one side of the street.  The pool will be closed on Saturday until 2pm.  We have volunteers that will be helping with traffic flow and parking. 

  THANK YOU ALL!  The Social and Events committee is hoping for a profitable day!  They are raising funds to help place benches in our community.

• Monday, October 20 at 5:30pm - HOA Board meeting. Please come to hear what’s going on in the community and to share your ideas. We will have two open Board seats in November so please consider running for the Board. If it’s something you’re thinking about and would like to chat with one or all of us, we’re happy to do so after the meeting.

• Thursday, October 23 at 6pm - Mahjong

• Monday, October 27 at 5pm - Finance committee meeting.

• Monday, October 27 at 5pm - Ladies Night Out at The Old Salty Dog, 1475 Tamiami Trail South. Please RSVP by Thursday, October 23 to Barb Staples via Facebook or text (763-218-5105).

• Thursday, October 30 at 6pm - Mahjong

• Friday, October 31 at 5pm - Halloween parade.

  Looking forward to seeing all the trick or treaters! Dave, Toby, and I will be hanging out in our driveway with kid, adult, and dog treats!
