What’s Going On?

Happy Monday, everyone! It’s been great getting some much-needed rain. Ponds are nice and full!

A few weeks ago the Board got together to review and approve updates to several of our existing documents, the main one being our Rules and Regulations (R&Rs). While these updates still need to be reviewed by our attorney and then recorded with the Clerk of Courts before we can officially post them on our website, over the next several weeks I’m going to review sections here. Most people read our R&Rs once when they moved in and then forgot about them; I know I did until I was elected to the Board.

Today I want to discuss section 200 - Parking of Vehicles

A. Parking on streets, parking on laws, parking on or across sidewalks, except sidewalks crossing a driveway, and parking on common areas is not permitted.

B. No unregistered street legal motor vehicles are permitted on any property.

C. Golf carts are permitted. However, persons driving these vehicles must be at least 15 years of age. Driving on sidewalks is not permitted.

D. Cars with covers should be kept in garage. Not outside the home.

E. The board of directors or their agent has the authority to tow vehicles which are in violation of the rules and regulations of the community at the vehicle owner’s expense.

F. Vehicle owner will be responsible for expense of repairs required to any property damaged because of parking in violation of these rules (i.e. damage to grass, irrigation heads, etc.)

G. Parking at the clubhouse parking lot must be approved by the Board of Directors or their agent and cannot last longer than 7 days.

H. Overnight parking from midnight to 6am on the street is not allowed and subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

While there are no rules with regard to parking on the street during the day, the Board asks that you please be mindful of doing so. On Blackfin Street on Saturday afternoon, there were multiple cars on both sides of the street which would have made it impossible for an emergency vehicle to get through if they’d had to. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
